Like A Prayer was created in 2018 and this is the second edition released in 2021.
This little book is very heartfelt and it carries a sweet and potent energy of love and support. I wrote this book as part of a series “Stories for Being” and this is the final book, the subtitle “A Story for Being Amazing”
Each page has one sentence, a wish or ‘prayer’ that conveys a deep value, something to aim for. In the writing process I conjured up all the moral values that I myself would like to have or ‘be good at’ in life. Pairing the prayers to the paintings and selecting the paintings was a fun process.

I called the book Like A Prayer and I know it evokes religion. I’d like to make it clear that these are all secular prayers and thus meant for anyone of any or no religion. When you look up the meaning of the word ‘prayer’ something that comes up is ‘an earnest hope or wish’ and that is exactly what these are. I also like to normalize the term ‘prayer’ as I believe that it is a beautiful thing to do.
